This is something that was bubbling up before and Phorsakyn's leaving the guild prompted me to speak about it.

We consider ourselves a mature guild, meaning not where we are in progress in WoW, but quality of people behind the toons in the guild. Although recently I have seen many examples of totaly immature behaviour, mostly from our more recent recruits.

Therefore I would like to reiterate that what we mostly value in this guild is quality of playtime we have together. I dont give a crap if you are uber-geared but cant restrain outbursts of anger, especially on vent; I dont care if you have seen BT but make other people not wanting to come to raids with you; I dont care if you top DPS charts but think that everybody else is an idiot.

In short - treat others like you want to be treated yourself. Otherwise you should consider moving to some other guild for people with oversized egos.

Although I don't know what happened, all I can say is Here Here! While I want to progress, I would rather have fun. You are all a third family for me.

I didn't know what happened either ...

However, I can say I am not surprised nor disappointed to see Phorsakyn leave. In all the guilds I have been (in my job to certain extent), every single person who downgrade to my level never lasts.

She's a good spriest, but we will just have to recruit and move on.

p.s. I'd say having a maturity check on our new recruits is definitely a good idea since we are getting a lot of new players lately.

Okay, that's a bit harse, how about this instead, people act a fool, warn them that that is not appropriate behavior. If they keep doing it, then gkick them.

Everyone gets one warning. Please be civil. If you want a guild where you can act like you are 15 this is not the place for you.

First of all, I must say, Zombie is a good guild. I can't speak enough about how happy I am with the guild. WE have officers/members with knowledge of the game and with leadership of controlling our progression of "end game".

Secondly, I thought Phorsakyn's decision of leaving the guild was partially because of my outburst and posts of "having babies" and "new wife" caused her to get irritated and may have played a part of her decision..Thank goodness I was wrong. (phew) I will say that if any of you are bothered by my random outburst, please do not hesitate to ask me not to comment about you. All in all, it is just a game. There is life after Phorsakyn and Zombie will still be one of the top guilds on the server.

Lastly, I just wanted to thank our officers for everything they have done to get us to where WE are at. You all do not get enough commendations for the hard work you have put into the game and its progression. You guys n gals ROCK!

Is this related to her long rants on Vent whenever we struggled against a boss in a raid? Just wondering. I was still getting used to the idea that we all suck.

We All suck? Damn, I though maybe a few of us didn't.
But really, I forsaw her leaving as well and almost brought it up to the officers a day or two before, just a feeling I had. I've been known at times to read people very well and have some intuition at times, but not always.
Here is my take, granted this is without talking to her or knowing any of the facts of why she left, what I think happened is She came in and was the center of attention for a while and liked that. I think when the novelty of that wore off and perhaps she wasn't the center of attention anymore, she left. For those of us from Legend Makers, think Certa. I think she has a similar personality type. Just my read on it, could be way off.

On behalf of all officers - I appreciate what you said, Conf. Not about the baby.. :-)

M, your reading in this particular situation is wrong.

I guess I talked to Phorsakyn more than most of us duirng our daytime heroic runs. It is very simple. She is coming from a point of view of person with 490 days of playtime. On just one toon. I guess the state of our progress wasnt a big problem for her, it is the potential of our progress that is troublesome. I explained to her that we were not "hardcore" guild like the one she used to be in. And, I think, when she approached guild and/or some of guild members from "hardcore" position she received a lot of resistance, sometimes not very polite.

Anyway, it is a pity to loose experienced player but sometimes people just dont mesh together.

However, the fact still is we do not make good use of our time. We do 25-man raids only 3 times a week (not counting pugging Sundays) and we waste at least 30% of that raiding time: delays in the beginning trying to fill in for no-shows; summons back and forth; waiting for flags to drop, etc. Then we waste time explaining basics of the fight to all the people who should have read guides or watched videos in advance. Acceptable questions are "How should I do this better?", not "What the heck am I doing here?"

We need to tighten up our raid preparation. We need to work on gems, enchants not 10 min before raid, but between raids. Lets take it up a notch and start kicking some seriuos arses!!

I am sad to see Phorsakyn go, because she had a nice personality other than the rants.

We've gone through some rough times due to player turnover and no-shows. As we get to this higher-end content, the degree of coordination and level of gear/gems/enchants required go up. These changes raise the bar, perhaps beyond where some players want to go.

I don't know why Phorsakyn had to act as though she were guild master instead of taking her feedback where it should have gone. That was frustrating. Also, it's not right for anybody to look top down and assign blame for why a raid is failing. How does one take apart a boss encounter and say who went wrong? Sometimes when I don't get a heal, it's still my fault because I shouldn't have taken the damage. I have to find a way.

The number of wipes before success against any particular boss only goes up from here. Some very good guilds are wiping a couple dozen times before downing Sunwell bosses. If we all trust one another, we can endure that.
